It’s time to put down the dab torch and see the future of cannabis concentrates. The portable vaporizer manufacturer wants you to believe that — and it’s a good reason.
In January 2018, Puffco launched the Peak, a smart electronic device. The Peak significantly departed from the pen-style vaporizers it had previously developed, such as Puffco Pro 2 or Puffco Plus.
Vape pens offer users a discreet and convenient way to consume concentrates. However, dab-rigs provide more satisfying dabbing experiences. However, this vaporization device is intended to provide both.
What’s Puffco Peak?
The Puffco Peak, also known as a “Smart Rig”, is a portable electronic vape vaporizer designed for cannabis concentrate users who want to skip the tedious and time-consuming process. The device has a button at the base that controls the temperature and power settings. This makes it easy to dab.
Peak’s technology adjusts heat and timing automatically to give the perfect hit. According to the company’s website, this is called “intelligent climate calibration” and “haptic feedback”. The LED light band lets you see the heat cycles and the battery level.
You can load the concentrate in two ways. The concentrate can be loaded into the chamber and heated up. For a traditional dabbing experience, wait for the vaporizer to reach the correct temperature before you drop a dab.
How do you use Puffco Peak?
It can be intimidating to use high-tech lava lamp-shaped digital vaporizer like the Puffco Peak to get high. (Remember the terms “intelligent thermal calibration” and “haptic feedback”) This device is designed to simplify and increase the effectiveness of concentrate consumption.
Preliminary
The first steps of using the smart rig are unlike filling a blowtorch full of butane. They are more similar to setting up a new phone.
- The device’s base must be fully charged before any concentrates can go down.
- After the charging process is completed, the white LED light at the base will cease pulsating.
- It takes approximately two hours for the battery to charge fully. The battery can be used up to 30 times.
Setup
- Setup the Puffco Peak by taking the glass attachment out and filling the chamber with water until it reaches a level that slightly exceeds the air holes.
- The lower portion of the glass attachment should be kept dry as it will be used to insert the base.
- Mount the glass piece in the base by aligning the inlet fold at the front with the atomizer.
- Hold down the single button on the device for three seconds to lock the components in place.
Load it
It’s time to load the Puffco Peak once it is locked.
- You can toggle between four temperature settings by pressing the button at the bottom of the device.
- Depending on how big your dab is, you can choose between blue (450° Fahrenheit or 232° Celsius), green (50% deg Fahrenheit or 260° Celsius), red (550° deg Fahrenheit or 288° Celsius), white (600° deg Fahrenheit or 316° Celsius), and red (550° deg Fahrenheit or 288° Celsius).
- The hotter the concentrate you use, the bigger the chamber should be.
Dab
Experiential dabbers should be familiarized with the last few steps that involve loading concentrate into the bowl.
An old-fashioned dab rig requires you to rotate the tool around the hot nail to ensure every bit of wax or shatter is consumed. The Puffco Peak makes it a lot easier.
- A loading tool is included with the Puffco Peak. This tool can get the perfect size of your favorite dab.
- Please place it in the heated chamber of the vaporizer.
- Drop the concentrate on the bottom of the bowl.
- Puffco recommends that the Peak be turned off immediately after being used to extend its battery life. This can be done by holding the button down.
Dab Alternative
You can also load the first dab and preheat the device.
To start heating the liquid, place the carb cap on top of the atomizer. Double-click the button at the base to activate the healing process. This takes about 20 seconds.
